Handy Yoke is a static site. The useful work happens in your browser. This note describes what that means in practice.
Files
Merge, split, JPG, PDF, WebP and HEIC tools read the file you choose and write the result on your device. The file is not uploaded to Handy Yoke, and there is no account it could be stored against. Closing the tab discards it.
Calculators and the word counter
Salary, property price, VAT amounts and pasted text are handled in the page. They are not sent to a server as part of the calculation or the count.
What the host can still see
Loading the site is an ordinary web request. The host can see technical logs such as IP address, the page address and the browser type, in the same way as any static site. Those logs do not include the contents of a PDF or the numbers you type into a calculator. The site is set up to be deployed on Cloudflare Pages.
Cookies, storage and advertising
Handy Yoke does not set its own analytics cookies. Google AdSense serves advertisements and uses cookies. Google’s own consent message handles advertising consent for people in Ireland and the EU. SeeHow Google uses information from sites that use our servicesand the cookie note. Dashed advertisement boxes on the pages are still empty; no ad unit is placed in them yet.
The Data Protection Commission
If you want to raise a data-protection concern about this site, the supervisory authority in Ireland is the Data Protection Commission. Handy Yoke does not run user accounts, and the tools do not send the files or figures you type to a server of ours.
If you write to hello@handyyoke.ie, that message is ordinary email and is kept for as long as needed to reply.
